Glime CRM + Dynamics 365 Business Central Connector in preview
Microsoft's ERP for small and mid-sized companies — not the same product as Dynamics 365 Sales, and a much better fit for a CPQ handoff.
What the connector does
- An approved quote lands in Dynamics 365 Business Central as a Sales quote, with its lines and net prices, and Glime's quote number as the trace back to its approval
- A signed contract is sent the same way; one still under negotiation is refused
- Order status and fulfilment come back; a price edited in Dynamics 365 Business Central is flagged with both values, never silently applied
Who runs Dynamics 365 Business Central
The natural ERP step for a Microsoft-estate company between roughly 25 and 300 people — often arrived at from QuickBooks after outgrowing it.
How the connection works today
Business Central exposes a REST API (api/v2.0) and OData v4 with salesQuotes, salesOrders, salesInvoices, customers, and items endpoints, plus webhook subscriptions on those resources. If you are comparing the CRM rather than the ERP, the page you want is Dynamics 365 — a different product with a different API.
Status: preview, not offered. Glime has a Dynamics 365 Business Central connector in the product, tested on every change against a simulator of Microsoft's API, and it is not sold or recommended for a live company file yet: QuickBooks Online is being taken live first. Today the workspace export — every object, on any plan — and the REST API carry the order across; talk to us before connecting this one.
| Sends | approved quotes and signed contracts, landing as a Sales quote |
|---|---|
| When | the Send button on an approved quote |
| Brings back | order status and fulfilment, hourly, on demand, or on the vendor's webhook where it sends one |
| Connecting | an Admin pastes accessToken, refreshToken, tenantId, companyId |
| On a conflict | the ERP wins on fulfilment, Glime wins on price |
| Run against Microsoft | Not yet. Tested in CI against a recording client in Microsoft's API shape, never against a real Microsoft company |
